Lakshmi is associated with both beauty and wealth, and the temple dedicated in her name certainly reflects both of these aspects in equal measure. Much of the original architecture and decorations have been left intact by its current resident, despite not sharing his patron's gender. The structure itself is an ornate palace made entirely of gold, with elaborate archways and windows studded with glistening jewels in nearly every color. The halls inside are decorated with intricately woven tapestries, statues of Lakshmi and her husband Vishnu, and lotus-themed imagery. The central chamber is less ostentatious, sparsely but tastefully adorned with pastel silk drapery to create a welcoming atmosphere for those seeking an audience.

In the rear of the temple, there is a magnificent garden with outdoor bathing pools filled with amrita, honey, and pristine, crystalline waters that are said to have healing properties. Whether this is true as it used to be when Lakshmi herself still inhabited this place is anyone's guess, but guests do leave the baths feeling relaxed and refreshed. Owing to the goddess' divine origins, there are also lotus flowers blooming in each of the pools, and a sweet scent permeates the air around them. Perhaps as a nod to the current Lakshmi's power, the temple itself as well as the grounds surrounding it are always perfectly and spotlessly clean and pure - not a single thing out of place or a speck of dust or dirt to be found.

Personality: Forrest, first and foremost, is a fashionista. From a very young age, he's always loved pretty clothing - a trait he developed when he was very young, put on a dress meant for his caretaker, and was called 'cute' by his father Leo. Growing up in relative seclusion, he didn't know that boys didn't wear skirts and dresses, and he simply kept doing so because it's what he felt comfortable in. This soon blossomed into a talent for sewing, and a lifelong interest in fashion and beauty in general. Forrest prides himself on his appearance and all the work that goes into it, wearing the clothing he likes and making no excuses or apologies for the person he is despite the odd looks and comments he tends to attract as a result. Other peoples' problems with him are just that - their own problems, and not something he needs to feel responsible for. Even in the face of potential rejection by his own embarrassed father, Forrest refuses to back down on who he is.

With such a fastidious personality, one might think that Forrest can be harsh and judgmental when it comes to the fashion choices of others. And while he is certainly not shy about giving his unsolicited opinion on such matters, he is gentle rather than overbearing with his advice, offering it from a place of love and concern. When he tries to help Sophie with her fashion choices, he incorporates the hideous horse-themed t-shirt she enjoys wearing into his final project. It's ugly and garish, but it's what she loves and what expresses her personality, and self-expression and honesty with oneself is something Forrest values. Likewise, with Kiragi, Forrest is perfectly willing to design clothing that is both fashionable and functional, as a nod to the other boy's more rough and tumble lifestyle consisting of hunting and mountain climbing rather than sitting inside sewing. No matter who someone is or where their interests lie, Forrest will always find a way to help them look and feel their best in something that suits their personality.

As a member of the army, Forrest does his best to support his friends, despite his physical weakness and extreme distaste for the sight of blood. In this regard, one might think he would be better suited simply remaining at the castle, but he rides out to meet the enemy all the same as his gentleness helps to inspire his comrades. He prefers healing to fighting, often staying near the back of the army to provide support wherever necessary. He's perfectly able to handle himself with magic in a pinch, however, and actually dislikes the notion that anyone else might need to hover nearby to protect him. It isn't that he doesn't appreciate such gestures, but he doesn't want to feel like a burden and hates being patronized even more. In the end, he's happy to support people and fight alongside them as an equal, and tries as hard at that as he does at sewing.

On the subject of sexuality and gender preference, Forrest identifies as a male and is only romantically interested in women, by his own admission. The way he dresses has nothing to do with either of those facets of his identity, and is more a reflection of his love for cute things than anything else. That's not to say that he isn't capable of displaying an aesthetic appreciation for anyone who looks good, however, and he has no problem with complimenting someone he finds attractive in either of these regards. This does, on occasion, create some confusing situations for the people around Forrest, however. And even though he's confident in his own identity and preferences, it can be disheartening for Forrest when he's looked at or treated strangely because of it.

Abilities: As far as combat is concerned, Forrest knows both healing magic and elemental attack magic. Mundane skills include sewing, cutting and styling hair, and fashion-related things in general.

Why?: I feel that this would be the more interesting option for Forrest, who is at a crossroads in his life deciding whether to pursue his fashion interests or train under his father as Nohrian royalty. Being a god will be a good lesson in what it's like to be responsible for others.

God Type: Being a substitute beauty god is right up Forrest's alley, so he'll do his best to carry on the traditions and responsibilities associated with his new position. He'll mainly address prayers having to do with beauty, purification, and the desire for self-improvement, and will also most likely renovate the temple he takes up residence in to befit his personal tastes. His poor shinki, whoever it is, will have to put up with constant fashion advice and possibly also being made to wear innumerable different outfits into combat. It's important to look good.
